Jesse Symons solo exhibition at RMIT First Site Gallery titled ‘XX’ investigates early associations between sex and gender. The images look at a split experience between mind and body. The photographs use horror and pathos to explore gender as a psychological state, as with Henry Fuseli’s painting The Nightmare. All works colour Lambda prints.
